About MLK Day 2016

In 1994, Congress designated the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday as a national day of service. On this day, Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems. We also gather to have meaningful conversations to strengthen our communities, bridges barriers, and create solutions to social problems.

Join our friends at Repair the World in creating meaningful social justice dialogue to be the catalyst that leads to action.

Through service we can:

  • Build relationships with others across contexts
  • Act in solidarity (with and not for) and engage in our community
  • Disrupt some of the systems that reinforce inequity
  • Address urgent short-terms needs that broader efforts may neglect to rectify

We know that united in service, we can help transform the hearts and minds of those struggling to embrace equality for all. Learn how to take action here!
