AZA and BBG Celebrates BBYO Bulgaria, Canada and United Kingdom & Ireland Anniversaries
For more than 90 years, BBYO has been making history, inspiring traditions and ensuring a strong Jewish future by creating meaningful experiences for Jewish teens all over the world. Following AZA’s birth in Omaha, Nebraska in 1924, the move toward global expansion began quickly – first becoming international with First International AZA established in 1926 in Calgary, Alberta; the Karmel Chapter in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1936; and the first chapter in Leeds, United Kingdom in 1940.
At #AZABBGExecs2015, Alephs and BBGs passed a resolution congratulating BBYO Bulgaria, Canada and United Kingdom and Ireland on their many successes and achievements in providing more Jewish teens with more meaningful experiences! The Execs body encourages all members to commemorate and celebrate these milestones with our Brother Alephs and Sister B’nai B’rith Girls in Bulgaria, Canada and United Kingdom and Ireland over the course of the 2015 – 2016 programming year.Return to AZA and BBG Movement Updates
