On February 13 -17, 2014 thousands of AZA & BBG leaders, alumni, advisors, professional staff and top Jewish philanthropists from around the world will convene at BBYO’s International Convention (IC) at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas, TX. This is the largest pluralistic annual gathering of Jewish teens working to strengthen the Jewish future.
At IC, members of BBYO’s high school leadership fraternity and sorority, the Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA) and B’nai B’rith Girls (BBGs), have the unique opportunity to take part in exemplary BBYO programming such as hearing from prominent speakers, participating in large-scale service learning opportunities and celebrating an inspiring Shabbat like most have never experienced before. In addition to showcasing spirit and community pride, IC participants take part in the democratic process of furthering the organization’s business agenda and electing AZA & BBG’s next international executive teen leadership. Opportunities to experience IC’s host city, engage with the host community and build lifelong global friendships are constants of every IC. Additionally, NTO (BBYO North Texas Oklahoma Region) is celebrating its 30th anniversary. We hope that you will join us as we commemorate this historic event in our community! We are seeking 200 volunteers to serve in a variety of roles at the Hyatt Regency downtown (and at nearby program sites and airports) from Wednesday, February 12 through Sunday, February 16.
If you are interested, please visit our volunteer portal to sign up for a specific shift and job.
You must be at least a sophomore in college to volunteer. For questions about volunteering, please email Tracy Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org. When you are not working a shift, all volunteers will receive special access to attend specific IC events and programs. While we’re not able to cover travel expenses, we will be providing passes to all volunteers to participate in elements of IC programming, etc. More information about this will be communicated to volunteers as we get closer to the date.
Once you have registered to become a volunteer; you will be invited to the Addison Conference Center on Monday, February 10th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm to join us for a pep rally and kick off to AZA BBG International Convention 2014. We will be passing out convention and hotel information to make your volunteer experience a positive one!
