Registration Details

Registration opens (tonight!) Thursday October 4th at: 8PM EST, 7PM CST, 6PM MST, 5PM PST. The total cost of IC 2013 is holding steady at $799. A $250 deposit is due at the time of registration.

Over the next week, will be updated and become our home for all International Convention news leading up to IC 2013. Teens, parents and community members can follow the planning and find answers to many Frequently Asked Questions regarding International Convention there.

Registration Assistance will be available!

If you are a teen from Canada or from beyond North America that do not usually register for BBYO International experiences through – do not worry! We have put a block of spots on reserve for all of you, as we look forward to welcoming our largest delegations ever. An note with additional registration tips will be distributed to your Regional Staff today.

If you are a teen trying to register through and have a registration issue, we can help! One of the IC 2013 Registration Ambassadors – Jen Fallick, Marty Shankle, Mitch Liebeskind, Jill Pottel, Amanda Marcus, Anita Blustein, Laura Sohinki, Sabrina Moore or Ian Kandel – will be able to assist you immediately.

Simply e-mail with your name, phone number and the nature of your concern and someone will be in touch to help you out. We will be available between 8PM EST and 11PM EST. If you have an issue after that time, please e-mail the same address and we will be in touch on Friday, October 5th.

We do not believe IC will sell-out immediately, but we do believe IC will fill within a few weeks. If you are hosting a local IC registration party in the coming days, you should be fine. We’ll communicate frequently with updates about availability. Remember, our goal is to have every Chapter in the Order represented!

Making IC More Affordable for More Teens

Thanks to a very generous donation intended for IC 2013 to be the largest and most accessible in BBYO history, we are thrilled to announce the following initiatives to help make this banner event affordable for every Aleph or B’nai B’rith Girl who wants to attend.

  1. While vastly increasing the size and program options for IC, we are holding the price steady at $799 – the same as the past two years, even as hotel and catering costs have increased!
  2. We have an unprecedented scholarship fund available for those with financial need – nearly double what we were able to offer last year.

  1. We are also offering travel scholarships so that getting to/from IC is more affordable:
a. If your teens live within driving distance of Washington, DC, we are working to coordinate a Regional/Council IC bus from your community. We will know by October 31st which regions will be providing bus service to IC. If your teens are interested in the bus (which will have a fee, but much lower than air or rail transportation), please talk to them about these incentives. The regions eligible for busing include: BALTIMORE, BAR, CRE, CVR, DC, EASTERN, GJHRR, KIO, KMR, LOR, MICHIGAN, NOVA, NSR, NER, ONR, PHILADELPHIA and WESTCHESTER.

b. If you live in any other region, including Canada or outside of North America, your teens will be eligible for the first ever IC travel scholarship! If they need financial assistance for travel, please instruct them to fill out the travel scholarship application form here and submit it to along with their confirmed travel itinerary by November 15, 2012. If you’re from a Region or Council listed above within driving distance from DC, and a BBYO bus is not offered from your community, your teens will also be eligible for the travel scholarship. Teens from those communities may fly if they wish.

4. Have freshmen that love AZA and BBG? The first 100 freshmen to register will receive $75 off the total registration cost, so please encourage them to register early! This discount is offered exclusively on a first-come/first-served basis.

Winter Regions

We will keep a handful of spots for Winter Regions, but teens that might run for leadership roles should be encouraged to register now. International Convention will sell-out well in advance so we will only have limited spots reserved, and we can not promise that spots will be available as IC approaches months from now.

Important February Execs Information!

Teens planning to attend the International February Executive Conference “Feb Execs” prior to IC they must register for BOTH events on “Feb Execs” will be Wednesday, February 13th.

“Feb Execs” will be open to all Regional/Council/Country Presidents, the International Board and the International Leadership Network (ILN). If your teens applied to be a member of the ILN (an international chair person), please ask them to hold off on booking travel until positions are announced, as they may need to attend “Feb Execs”. Chair announcements will be made next week.
