A Quick Interview with International Aym-Ha Orli Berman about CLTC 2011!

by Brittany Rittel, Connecticut Valley Region

1. AHA or Beber and why?

AHA, clearly was the best. Air conditioned rooms, 'nough said. Beber has nothing on that.

2. What do you think of the new CLTC Location of Bethany College?

It is beautiful! It combines the camp feel of Beber and the dorm style feel of AHA. It's going to be great.

3. What session are you coordinating?

CLTC 6!

4. Why is CLTC important for a BBG/AZA?

CLTC is important for BBYO because it creates networks of dedicated leaders. It brings people together from all over the order to not only learn about BBYO and how to lead their chapters, councils and regions, but also creates lifelong friendships.

5. What is your favorite CLTC Memory?

I couldn't even begin to start. Every memory was special and important in its own way. One of the memories that stands out the most is when my mock chapter ran a program about being more sensitive to disabilities. It was a topic that was very close to my heart, and touching another 86 people with something I'm passionate about changed me and made me inspired.

6. What are some secrets you can spill about what YOU have planned for CLTC this summer?

I guess you'll just have to go to find out ;)

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, need help with scholarship, or just want to know which session to go to. Email me at aymhachaverot@bbyo.org if you need anything!

Best 12 Days

Today is the ninth day of the best 12 days of my life. Today also marks a revelation of friendship for me. For sixteen years, I have had an inaccurate definition of a best friend. For sixteen years, I could not have been more off about something in my life. At CLTC, I learned that a best friend is somebody you can be your whole self around. A best friend is there for you no matter what. A best friend for me understands my love for this beautiful organization. Unfortunately, my best friends are going to be spread all over the country this next year, but no matter the distance between us, we will be true best friends and I could never ask for anything more. Respectfully submitted with an undying love for the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization, Ahavat Achat BBG #5683, Southern Region, Atlanta Council #55, Lehavah BBG #2527, BBGs, MITS, CLTC 1 2011, and each and every one of you, I remain Aliya Hanna Saulson, a proud N’siah of Ahavat Achat BBG #5683

Hello from CLTC! I’m Jeff Hilnbrand, the AZA Coordinator. We are at the point in the session where strong bonds have been made and lasting memories have been created. Participants have planned chapter programs, services, and fundraisers, and are learning how to work as a chapter to achieve success. As they continue to interact with each other, participants learn about how BBYO operates in different parts of the nation, and are given the opportunity to take ideas back to their respective regions and chapters. We now approach the home stretch of CLTC with just a few precious days remaining. But CLTC doesn’t just end here. Afterwards, we return home with many new friends and a support system for BBYO help back home. So far, this has been a wonderful experience, and I’m excited for the future of each and every participant here. .
