Happy New Year from BBYO
The High Holidays are a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the one to come.
We are excited to begin this New Year and see how together, BBYO teens, advisors, staff and families, can make the world a better place.
L'Shanah Tovah Tikatevu!
Wishing you, your family and friends a happy and sweet New Year!
A Global High Holiday Celebration
High Holiday Resources
Trees are an important icon and metaphor in Judaism, especially around the High Holidays. An Eitz Chayim He, a Tree of Life, is a common symbol for the Jewish People, used to represent Judaism, Torah, and human beings. The High Holidays are a time to reflect on the strength of our roots and the reach of our branches.
This same inspiration is what inspired our AZA and BBG teen leadership to select the 2013 International Convention theme, “From the Roots We Build.” As our tradition encourages, we desire to further strengthen our Movement’s base as we extend the range of our transformative experiences to more Jewish teens across North America and around the world. To achieve the greatest height and most extensive canopy possible, our base must be as strong and wide as they can be – a tie to our history, and a beacon to our future.
