Congratulations to the new 2012-2013 Regional Board!

SRC 2012: AL GAG HA'OLAM was a huge success. Thank you to our coordinators Lucas Kasle, Emily Rappaport, Idan Ben-Yitschak, and Talia Berman. From Senior Lives, to States to the Challenge, everyone who attended enjoyed every moment of the action.

And the the weekend concluded with electing our new 2012-2013 Regional Board.

AZA: Godol: Gabe Jacobs, Sgan: Ben Henken, Moreh: Brad Honigberg, Shaliach: Avi Greenspan, Mazkir: Sam Moser and Gizbor: Ryan Brink.

BBG: N'siah: Talia Berman, S'ganit: Micki Bear, Mit Mom: Oren Sasson, Sh'licha: Anya Vlasoff, Mazkirah: Jessie Bekker.

And a big THANK YOU to the outgoing 2010-2012 Regional Board...(Zach Rosen, Jake Kupferman, David Rechavel, David Hermanoff, Gabe Jacobs, Michelle Shtivelberg, Melissa Margolis, Erin Miller, Zoe Russek, Jodi Stern, Elyce Heffez)...longest term in Wisconsin Region history. They did it well. Wisconsin Region thanks them for their service, they have left the region in a great place.

2012 Kol Hakavod Honors

At this year's Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 30th, Wisconsin Region will once again hand out it's Kol Hakavod Honor to selected graduating seniors.

The Kol Hakavod Honor was started in 1998 by Jim and Millie Sernovitz and is given to graduating seniors who have served the organization with distinction.

The seniors receiving the honor this year will be joining a long list of dedicated and enthusiastic Wisconsin Region members who have helped shape the history, the present and the future of this region.

The names of this years recipients, whose names will be on display outside the BBYO Office are: Idan Ben-Yitschak, Sam Carneol, Simon Chudnow, Maya Gorobstova, Josh Greenberg, Sophie Gutterman, Elyce Heffez, David Hermanoff, Gary Karagodsky, Jake Kupferman, Melissa Margolis, Erin Miller, Sam Papermaster, Jennifer Pereles, Emily Rappaport, David Rechavel, Zoe Reinhardt, Zach Rosen, Ari Rosengarten, Mitchell Rowen, Zoe Russek, Evan Sadowsky, Michelle Shtivelberg, Daniel Silber, Jacob Spanjar, Jodi Stern, Eli Weiner, Samantha Zacher and Mikaela Zetley.

We hope that everyone will join us at the BBYO Annual Meeting, Wednesday, May 30th to see as these teens honored.

BBYO recently launched the Shofar Blog, a digital and ongoing BBYO news source to innovate the Shofar Newsletter, which AZA and BBG members have been using to share movement news for almost 90 years!

The latest Shofar articles include highlights of BBYO teens starting their own nonprofits, the TUNED IN in Northern Region East, J-Serve, and a BBYO Passover Seder in Albania!

Now you can also be a published author on bbyo.org! Submit articles on BBYO accomplishments in your region that are between 300 and 500 words to abudman@bbyo.org along with a stellar photo and you might be published on the Shofar Blog! This is a year-round opportunity, so please keep the blog in mind as your region has news to share.
