Westchester BBYO Grows Strong: Join Now
Westchester BBYO is going strong! On Hanukkah we danced the night away with 65 teens from around the area, laughed all afternoon at the crazy minute-to-win-it games, and gave children from the Henry Ittelson Center who suffer from emotional and psychological disorders an unforgettable afternoon of bingo, crafts, and snacks. This coming semester the teen leadership committee is working hard to provide creative programming to the teens of Westchester. Preview highlights include iron chef BBYO, a social action project supporting an organization called Jews heart Africa, and an overnight dedicated to training teens how to stand up for each other as a community. Joining BBYO will change your teen's life, providing opportunities to develop leadership skills, build lasting friendship, and incubate a meaningful Jewish identity. Registering is simple. BBYO Teens Lead Campaign to End Bullying
Three Major International Jewish Youth Movements Join Forces to End Bullying and Support for LGBTQ Teens
Jewish teenagers from the major International Jewish Youth Movements are taking on bullying and standing up for their lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer peers. In addition to publicly committing to end bullying and creating an inclusive environment in their own movements, the Coalition of Jewish Teen Leaders, (the presidents of the International Jewish Youth Movements) has set a goal of getting 18,000 Jews to sign Keshet’s “Jewish Community Pledge to Save Lives”. This goal has been echoed by the executive leadership of the movements and their staff.
