Midwest Israel Seminar

March 9-11th

The Midwest Israel Seminar is a program put on by The iCenter (www.theicenter.org) and BBYO.  The goal of this Seminar is to engage Jewish teen leaders who want to deepen their relationship with Israel, learn & understand Israeli politics & culture and have fun!  The Seminar takes place in Chicago, IL on Friday, March 9 - Sunday, March 11.  The cost of the Midwest Israel Seminar is $150, which includes transportation to Chicago.

We are looking for a select number of Jewish teens who are seeking a deeper connection to Israel and are willing to make a commitment to educating themselves and others.  Participants are expected to complete a follow up project and serve as an ambassador for Israel education and learning back in their BBYO region.

Participation in the Seminar is contingent upon completing this application and being accepted into
the program.  Please note there are limited spots
per region available for the seminar.

Applications are due to Rachael (rfrydman@bbyo.org) by Thursday, December 1st.

BBYO Panim Institute Named One of North America’s Most Innovative Jewish Nonprofits

Seventh Annual “Slingshot” Guidebook Names 50 Most Innovative Jewish Nonprofits in America

The BBYO Panim Institute has been named one of the nation’s 50 most innovative Jewish nonprofits in Slingshot ’11-‘12, a resource guide for Jewish innovation. According to Slingshot, Panim was selected for this honor because “after last year’s merger (2009) with the powerful BBYO, the BBYO Panim Institute is in a unique position to engage a generation of Jewish teens with community service opportunities focused on social change and rooted in Jewish values.”

Slingshot is used by philanthropists, volunteers, not-for-profit executives, and program participants to identify path-finding and trailblazing organizations grappling with concerns in Jewish Life such as identity, community, and tradition. Panim was chosen for the third time by a panel of 36 foundation professionals from across North America.
