Andrew Paull - Young Pioneers Award 2017 Recipient

This story was published in The Jewish Education Project.

Andrew Paull is the Senior Regional Director for the Manhattan Region of BBYO, an international Jewish teen movement aspiring to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. As the founding director of BBYO’s newest region, Andrew launched a vibrant, pluralistic Jewish teen program across Manhattan, engaging more than 350 teens in less than three years.

His experience spans the Jewish teen community, including diverse roles at the Jewish Teen Funders Network and Larchmont Temple in Larchmont, New York. He spent many summers at Jewish camp as a camper, counselor, and senior staff member, where he combined his love of the outdoors with a passion for educating and mentoring young Jews. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Chapman University and earned a Certificate in Jewish Education for Adolescents and Emerging Adults from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Andrew grew up in the Pacific Northwest and now lives with his wife, Elena, in New York City.

Being recognized by The Jewish Education Project for the leadership of our staff in various areas of youth education and engagement over the years continues to motivate us to do more and do better. Andrew Paull is an outstanding professional and we are so fortunate that through the deep partnership we have built with BBYO that Andrew has been able to jump in and create a strong community of Jewish teens in Manhattan---build BBYO from 0 to over 200 members in under three years.
