Ninety-nine members of BBYO Connecticut Valley Region attended the organization’s International Convention in Baltimore last month. Two of them – Ryan Murace of Stamford and Yasmin Goodman of Longmeadow, Mass. — shared their experiences with the Ledger.
BBYO’s International Convention comes once a year and a more exciting time in the BBYO calendar cannot be found. For the teens of South Jersey Region BBYO, the impact of International Convention could be felt immediately on the very first day, even the first hour.
Toledo BBYO has had a busy, exciting and fun start to 2016. The year began with Regional Exec v2, where the executive boards of B'not Shalom and BSN received training from the Regional Board and then had time to plan out calendars for the rest of the spring. On Sunday, January 24, both chapters worked together to host a Murder Mystery program at the Baders' home. To earn a clue, the teens had to participate in team building activities, BBYO trivia and finally a dance off.
All of a sudden I heard someone shout out an expletive. As one of the few adults in the room, I wasn’t sure how to react. Do I turn around to see who did it? Do I ignore it? Luckily, the 300 teenagers I was surrounded by in the room knew exactly what to do – nothing.
Forty-one teens from BBYO's North Florida Region (spanning Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Sarasota and Naples) joined more than 4,000 teen leaders, educators, professionals and philanthropists from 48 states and 27 countries for BBYO's International Convention (IC) in Baltimore from Feb. 11 to Feb. 15
As summer begins to wrap up, BBYO North Florida Region is gearing up for its best year yet! Several teens from this region and the Central Florida community have recently returned from life changing experiences at BBYO Summer Programs.
South Jersey Region BBYO closed out the month of September with its first BBYO night of the year. After a successful regional kickoff at Sahara Sam’s and multiple chapter kickoffs, members of South Jersey Region came together to continue the great beginning of the year.
