Brian Innenberg, a Cleveland native who grew up in South Euclid, has returned to serve as regional director of BBYO’s Ohio Northern Region.
Innenberg, 26, started his new position Sept. 1. He works under Todd Kay, former regional director who is now senior regional director.
A 2006 graduate of Brush High School in Lyndhurst, Innenberg earned a bachelor’s degree in business operations management from The Ohio State University in Columbus in 2010. He then worked four years as an operations analyst for Capital One in Richmond, Va.
“I had been a BBYO volunteer adviser for four years in Richmond,” he said. “It’s an organization I’ve always loved. I was involved with it throughout high school, and it’s something I was always passionate about and wanted to transition into.
“My long-term career aspiration was always to work for BBYO. It was just a matter of the right time and the right opportunity.” Innenberg, a Beachwood resident, said his primary goal in his new position is to help grow the BBYO movement in northern Ohio.
“I also want to drive meaningful programming for the teens and to drive leadership and develop the teens,” he said. “One of the core tenets of BBYO is that it is teen led. Teens are in charge of programming and recruitment, and it’s the staff’s job to train them and to support them.”
Innenberg is the son of Michele Innenberg of Beachwood and Louis Innenberg of Solon.
