New Member Weekend is a once in BBYO career opportunity where teens get their first look into how we truly move our movement. This experience gives teens the opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills within and beyond the realms of BBYO, including program planning, recruitment, fundraising, and marketing. Not to mention, our teens will begin to create lifelong friendships with Jewish teens in local communities. There is also an inspiring Shabbat service, and a special induction ceremony that helps culminate the convention as we send our members on their journey within BBYO. This is the perfect convention for teens aspiring to be on chapter board, have held 1-2 chapter board positions or who are just beginning to get the feeling for BBYO. This experience usually sells out! Register early to secure your spot!

During Council Convention, all chapters within DC Council will come together for a weekend of tradition, reflection and excitement. Participants will get the opportunity to attend engaging, meaningful and truly excellent programs throughout the weekend, including an inspiring Shabbat. One of the most meaningful parts of this convention is that teens get to listen to seniors reflect upon their past years in BBYO at the Lifetimes Ceremony. Our teens will also get the opportunity to have their voices heard as we elect the new DC Council board for the upcoming year. We will culminate the excitement and progress from the year behind us as we prepare for the following year to come.
