From the Director:
Shalom New York City! January is an exciting time across BBYO because it means that our 8th graders are now officially eligible to register for AZA and BBG membership! If you are an 8th grader, remember to register at www.b-linked.org or contact the Regional Office for assistance.
We are kicking off 2011 and the second half of our programming year in full swing with rising membership, new chapters across the city, and exciting programs and partnerships in the works. Keep your eyes peeled for these amazing updates and I look forward to seeing you at upcoming programing!
As our region continues to grow, our need for additional volunteer advisors also continues to grow. If you or someone you know would like to give back to BBYO by dedicating your time as a chapter advisor, please contact Rebekah Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking specifically for advisors in Northeast Queens and Rockaway.

BBYO Teens Lead Campaign to End Bullying
Three Major International Jewish Youth Movements Join Forces to End Bullying and Support for LGBTQ Teens
Jewish teenagers from the major International Jewish Youth Movements are taking on bullying and standing up for their lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer peers. In addition to publicly committing to end bullying and creating an inclusive environment in their own movements, the Coalition of Jewish Teen Leaders, (the presidents of the International Jewish Youth Movements) has set a goal of getting 18,000 Jews to sign Keshet’s “Jewish Community Pledge to Save Lives”. This goal has been echoed by the executive leadership of the movements and their staff.
