Central Region West
RLTC Registration is now open!
As you may have already been told, registration for our Regional Leadership Training Conference is now open!
• Dates: November 15-17, 2013
• Convention will begin at 5pm on Friday and will end at noon on Sunday
• Location: Hilton Newark/Fremont (39900 Balentine Rd.)
• Convention cost: $275.00 Convention is open to all AZA & BBG members (9th-12th grades)
RLTC is an incredible leadership training opportunity for your teens – for their experiences within BBYO and skill building for the rest of their lives. This year’s theme is “It Takes a Village”, so programming will focus on communication, teamwork, collaboration and taking initiative – all major, critical skills for success in college and the workplace.
We encourage you to give your teens the opportunity to benefit from the programs, workshops and conversations that will take place of the course of our program.
• Registration link is here: http://b-linked.bbyo.org/event/68159
• Medical form, required for all those who have not yet submitted since July 1, 2013: http://bit.ly/CRWMedical
Registration DEADLINE, and deadline to cancel with full refund is November 3rd.
Scholarship Applications: Regional scholarships are available on a need basis. The scholarship application is available as a downloadable PDF here: http://bit.ly/RLTC13Scholarship. Scholarship applications are due at 11:59pm on October 31st, along with a 50% deposit ($137.50) paid on b-linked. All scholarship applications should be sent to Jill Pottel by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or fax (650.240.0567). Due to the needs of many families, please consider your actual need for this convention when applying. We may not be able to fulfill every scholarship request in full, so please only ask for what you need. Applications lacking all requested pieces will not be considered.
Full Year Convention Package: This year, we are offering a special price reduction for families whose teens attend all three of our Regional conventions. We are finalizing pricing and budgets for our second two programs, but are prepared to guarantee that the discount will be no less than $75.00 per teen for those who attend all three. We try to keep our programs as reasonably priced as possible, and are striving to find ways to give a little bit back to very active and involved families.
The dates for our conferences this year are as follows:
- Regional Leadership Training Conference: 11/15-11/17
- West Coast Kallah: 1/17-1/20
- Spring Convention: 5/23-5/26
Once we have finalized pricing for our final two programs, we’ll allow families to register for both of the remaining two programs at once, and will offer the rebate at that time. If you have any questions about this package opportunity, please contact your local staff.
Cancellation Policy: The cancellation deadline will be the same day as the final registration deadline for the convention (November 3rd). Up to that date, full refunds will be granted for cancellations in writing (email is acceptable), for any reason. After that date, the maximum refund available will be 50% of the cost paid, or the total amount of funds not already committed to vendors/expenses – whichever is less.
Full refunds after the cancellation deadline will always be granted for cancellations due to medical or family emergencies. Full refunds due to non-emergency conflicts may be granted at the staff’s discretion. Full refunds for any other reason (just decided not to go, missed the bus, etc.) will not be granted. No-shows will not be granted refunds. Staff always strives to be accommodating, and we will do what we can to refund as much of your fee as possible on a case-by-case basis.
Want to get involved? If you have interest in lending your skills and expertise to a leadership workshop on Sunday morning or a communication-focused workshop on Saturday morning, we are interested in your involvement! Please contact our coordinators, Josh Kaplan (email@example.com) and Izzy Kipnis (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your name and ideas – whether it’s management, branding, fundraising, or a million other skills, we would love to have you be part of our training experience. If you have any additional questions, please be in touch with your chapter president, advisor and/or local staff!
