Welcome to BBYO Manhattan Region! Founded in Fall 2014, Manhattan Region is BBYO’s newest region and serves all Jewish teens of Manhattan in New York City. A full array of activities – social, community service, and leadership development – are part of BBYO in Manhattan, all with teens in charge!
BBYO Manhattan is open to all Jewish teens in 8th – 12th grade, across denominations and movements, from a variety of synagogues, youth groups, and day schools. As a member of BBYO Manhattan, you will be connected to the larger BBYO network of over 40,000 teens and over 400,000 alumni around the world. Membership for all of high school is only $149. BBYO Manhattan is proud to partner with JCC Manhattan, an organization that creates opportunities for people to connect, grow, and learn within an ever-changing Jewish landscape. As part of this partnership, many BBYO programs take place at JCC Manhattan, located at 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street. For teens, JCC Manhattan also offers fitness classes, art workshops, culinary experiences, and community service opportunities.
What is BBYO?
With over 90 years of experience, BBYO is the largest pluralistic youth movement and most effective provider of identity-building and leadership development programs for Jewish teens. Headquartered in Washington, DC, BBYO encompasses over 600 chapters across 45 regions in North America. As in global movement, BBYO has programs for local Jewish teens in Central and South America, Europe, Israel, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Among BBYO's more than 400,000 alumni are many of the most prominent figures in Jewish communal life, as well as people of note in the business, political, academic and cultural worlds.
