Friends & Alumni Network (FAN)
Do you remember the closing friendship circles at conventions, Beau Sweetheart, chapter rivalries and all of the other memories from BBYO? We do too..
The Ohio Northern area FAN is part of an international network of FANs that are being formed in communities throughout North America. FAN provides BBYO alumni with ways to reconnect to each other and to BBYO, and more importantly to support BBYO.

Celebrate BBYO Ohio Northern Region - Honoring Lane A. Schlessel
For His 30 Years of Dedicated Service
For nearly 90 years, BBYO has developed our Jewish community’s leaders. For generations, BBYO has helped Jewish teens achieve their leadership potential and strengthen their Jewish identities. Becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is commonly seen as an end, not a beginning, and BBYO is rising to the challenge of establishing the post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah teen years as a powerful Jewish experience that engenders pride and permanence. There are over 2,000 Jewish teens involved in BBYO in the Northern Ohio area.
Lane A. Schlessel is a product of BBYO and one of our most active community leaders. After 30 years of service, Lane has taken the next step in his career. Please join us to honor Lane as he leaves BBYO.

We have known Lane for many, many years. He is a strong advocate for the Jewish community, Israel, and BBYO. Lane also worked on behalf of BBYO’s Passport program and created the first ever March of the Living ALL Ohio Bus, the “Buckeye Bus” as he call it. Lane is a strong partner in strengthening BBYO’s local impact and strengthening our Jewish future.
Please join us in honoring Lane by supporting BBYO ONR:

This is a wonderful opportunity to show your support for the work BBYO does to build a generation of hopeful, inspired and capable Jewish teen leaders, and in doing so, honor Lane.
For the last 10 years, BBYO has operated as an independent organization, and today receives no funding from B’nai B’rith. Your support is more important than ever, and we thank you in advance for your gift.
In Lane's honor, ALL proceeds from the event will benefit the BBYO Ohio Northern Region and will establish the Lane Schlessel Scholarship Fund, which will exclusively benefit Ohio Northern Region teen members.
We look forward to seeing you there,
Judy Kaufman, Bruce Sherman, and Marla Schlessel --- Host Committee Co-Chairs
