The morning began with a session about decision making in each mock chapter. Participants then had the opportunity to attend various skill building sessions. While some teens immersed themselves into the Israeli culture through Israeli dance, others engaged in a question and answer session with staff about BBYO. Another skill builder discussed the significance of LGBT inclusion within BBYO and challenged participants to end discrimination. "This session opened my eyes to the importance of being an ally. It's not just about support, but it's about being active and taking action," explains Hailey Safra of Gold Coast Region. "BBYO is such an amazing organization, and no one should miss out on that because of who they are." Teens were also offered a session on how to start their own chapters. "I learned the tools needed to be successful in spreading BBYO in my region," says Dalia Dichter of Pacific Western Region. Later that afternoon, mock chapters met to plan programs that will soon be presented to the entire CLTC body. After dinner, a "launch party" built excitement for International Convention 2015, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia this upcoming February. A night centered around International Convention exposed teens to this incredible opportunity that will allow them to continue other international BBYO experiences after CLTC. In the spirit of Atlanta, teens enjoyed coke and peach ice cream floats. Participants also jammed out on the dance floor and went on hay rides around camp. The entire night was high energy and exciting, and we hope to reunite CLTC 1 2014 at International Convention later this year.
