Good evening from CLTC 8! Today, teens had the chance to reflect on the different skills that they have been developing over their time here. In a discussion within their chapter, they were pushed to think about what kind of "Game Changer" they strive to be once everyone returns home. Everybody can 'change the game' in some way- the first step is motivation and a little positive thinking! After their discussion within their chapters, teens wrote letters to their future selves, which will be mailed to them in six months times. With any luck, everyone will be well on their way to reaching their goals when they receive them!
"Today we learned how to stay humble and persevere." -Mya Zabari, Miami Region.
"Today's chapter program really helped us bond as a chapter and further our program planning skills." -Jacob Chimerine, Nassau Suffolk Region.
"At CLTC, I have made friends that will last a lifetime, and I will never forget this special journey." -Briana Schwam, Eastern Region.
"It was so great to find out that everyone liked my chapter's program about being positive. Our chapter's hard work definitely paid off." -Jacob Baumstein, Eastern Region.
"CLTC has honestly been amazing. The friends I am making are great, and the opportunities that I'm given to be a leader here are priceless." -Simone Steinberg, Greater Jersey Hudson River Region.

It was great to see all of the hard work that went into planning process turn into successful programs! Many of the skills that teens have been developing over the past nine days were put into practice. All three of the programs received positive feedback from the participants, and the teens who planned them:

Good evening from CLTC 8! Today, teens were happy to hear that the Maccabia games are back for session 8! Teens were split into four teams: green (Ireland), red (Bulgaria), blue (Argentina), and white (France). Each country that was represented is partnered with BBYO on an international level. Teams were able to compete in many top tier events including trivia, Israeli cooking, silent lunch "Shoe Golf", and an Amazing Race. However, winning the challenges isn't the only way to earn points for your team- team spirit also counts! Later this evening, teams will be competing in a lip sync battle. Having our Maccabia day competition take place during the 2016 Olympic Games helped create a spirited and exciting atmosphere. Take a look at what teens have to say about Maccabia thus far:

We're excited for the day to continue!
