CLTC 1 Update: June 16, 2013

Hello, my name is Yishai Barth, and I am from New England Region. I have been a part of BBYO for two years, and am a rising senior. I was told to attend CLTC to learn how to be a leader from my regional director after being elected to regional board. I did not know what those four letters stood for, but I was told that these 12 days are the most amazing days of your life.
Those words do not do CLTC justice, as I feel that I have been here over 12 weeks. CLTC brings a group of teens together, who care about the room around you, and care about refining the light of leadership. Here at CLTC, we are given the tools to forge ourselves into leaders by ceasing upon one another's strengths and improving each other's weaknesses.
Our first Shabbat was an unbelievable experience. Our AZA coordinator, Mika Stein, led a song called Tov L'hodot, and I was moved to tears. Not solely by the music, but also by the voices of so many Jewish teens singing the song. One hundred Jewish teens who did not know one another, together, from across the United States, sang in unison, the voice of Judaism.
CLTC surely does the impossible.
