Rachel Ackermans Reflection

After finishing day one of CLTC and practically reaching the halfway point of day two I can honestly say this experience is un-like any other! The instant bonds that were made, are truly incredible! After Shira (our nightly song session) I knew I had found my home. Singing with my fellow Alephs, and BBGs was amazing! The feeling of love, and true acceptance swarmed the room. It was natural, and easy. It truly felt like nothing I had ever felt before.
All of us had no idea what would happen when we walked off the bus, and entered Bethany College. We were all nervous, apprehensive, and some even fearful. But somehow we all mustered up the courage to say hi, to meet new people, and create incredible friendships. Just sitting here alone blogging I was approached by three of my fellow BBG sisters in hopes to make sure I wasn’t spending all of Chofesh (free time) alone, or asked if I wanted any help with what I wanted to say.
In these last two days I have met the most supportive, and inspiring group of Alephs and BBGs. Kids who come from all walks of life, countries, and experiences. We have bonded together to create CLTC 2; an array of individuality, acceptance, and fun! I can’t wait to see what these next 10 days has in store for all of us!
Submitted with undying love and dedication to:
SJR, Tovah, my big, all of dorm 2, and of course the experience of a lifetime CLTC 2!
I remain Rachel Lauren Ackerman! Damn proud BBG, and CLTC 2 blogger!
