ILTC Day 4 - Sabbath and First "Normal" Day
Posted on 07/01/2013 @ 07:00 AM
We have officially completed our first Sabbath and regularly scheduled weekday of ILTC!
The Sabbath was very relaxing as the teens participated in services, then chose from a variety of Shabbat activities, and enjoyed ample chofesh (free time) on our day of rest. Activities ranged from in-depth learnings about Judaism to meditation and hiking.
Sunday was a great success as well. The teens got to experience what a normal day at camp will be like, which includes:
- Limmud - Teaching (Israel related)
- Skills Workshop - A workshop aimed at improving skills pertaining to BBYO and life
- Chug - An elective ranging from Israeli dancing to video-making
- Planning Committee - A committee that plans activities for participants
The teens finished their day off in separates (when the boys and girls each have their own program. The girls explored what value their valued most and the boys re-enacted the founding of Israel with a paint war.
