Matthew Leightman and Bruce Margoshes here!
The first week of ILTC has come to a close. To most people here, time has flown by.
"It feels like just yesterday that I woke up knowing that today was the beginning of ILTC," said Matthew Leightman, 17, from Lonestar Region.
The teens at Camp Perlman have been enjoying a host of activities that they elected as well as classroom time titled blueprints, taught by highly-esteemed BBYO directors and advisors from across the nation.
Kevin Falik, director of Cotton States region, says he enjoys teaching his respective blueprint because he wants to help pass down his knowledge of BBYO and train the future leaders.
Bruce Margoshes, 16, Rocky Mountain Region, says, "Blueprint studies have changed my outlook on leadership and BBYO as a whole."
Gabe Baskin and Noah Adelstein, both 15 from Rocky Mountain Region make friends by playing basketball everyday. On the second night of ILTC, the teens celebrated their first of three Shabbats.
Josie Roth, from Gold Coast Region, said that she enjoys taking pictures and going to services with her friends. Every few nights, the Madrichim (room advisors) hold dorm bonding nights to allow kids to get closer to their roommates.
Ben Shulman, 16, Eastern Region - North Carolina Council, says that he loves his dorm and all the fun he has with the people in it.
The first week is over, but there is plenty of time still left. Stay tuned for next week's edition of ILTC 2013: A Week in Review.
