Medicine Wheel is one of the most eye opening experiences of my life. Michael, the director/artist of Medicine Wheel, hires many local teens and offers them jobs and experiences that in many a case kept their lives safe. on day one we were given a seemingly impossible list of tasks.
Today, I am proud to say we completed the impossible and finished them all. Including the most impressive feat of removing 2 super jumbo crazy large tree stumps out of the ground.
When we arrived we judged the Medicine Wheel guys for their pasts and criminal histories, but after getting to know them all personally, we found that they are some of the smartest, strongest, kindest, and most loyal people we know. Don't judge people for "what" they are. Recognize people for "who" they are.
Today was an inspirational day at Medicine Wheel. I can't wait to hear from all my new friends there and find out how the projects pan out.
