At Impact: Boston at Brandeis University (formerly known as Project Impact) you will go beyond volunteering, to explore the issues that underlie some of society’s biggest challenges and go behind the scenes with people at the forefront of social action and real, sustainable change.

BBYO and Brandeis University have teamed up to create this dynamic two-week summer experience focused on social action, community service and advocacy. You’ll learn skills that will empower you to start a lifetime of work as an agent of change. It’s a Jewish community experience unlike any other.

At Impact: Boston you will:

Work hands-on serving communities in need;

Go beyond volunteering in exclusive partnerships with activists who are bettering the lives of hundreds of people;
Learn what it takes to be a leader in your community and really make a lasting difference;
Meet Jewish teens from around the nation who are as passionate as you are about helping others;
Explore Boston;
Get a real college experience, living and learning on the Brandeis University campus

The key to Impact: Boston is the set of new skills you bring home with you. Through meetings professional activists and community leaders who have dedicated their lives to helping others, you will learn how you can start making a difference in your home community. All this while meeting friends you'll keep forever and participating in BBYO’s international teen movement.

Volunteering is just the beginning of your work at Impact: Boston, where we give you the chance to do much more than just community service. You will join a team that will be connected with a local non-profit organization and gain hands-on experience in all levels of serving the community. You will work closely with the professionals at your organization and see how their efforts have led to real change that has improved people's lives. It’s your chance to learn, experience and give back in a meaningful way.

Impact: Boston participants are also eligible to extend their summer at Brandeis by attending either of Brandeis University’s other two summer programs that take place immediately following P.I., BIMA and Genesis. If accepted to BIMA or Genesis, Impact: Boston participants will be eligible for a discount of $500. For more information, click here.
