RPCS Senior Rebecca Sereboff has been elected International N’siah (President) of the 73rd International Board of the B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG).
The election was held at the 2017 B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO) International Convention (IC) which was hosted in Dallas, TX, February 16-20. The BBYO IC welcomed thousands of teen leaders, professionals, educators, and alumni from across the world for one of the largest Jewish community events of the year.
“I still don’t believe that this is actually happening,” says Rebecca. “I have never been more humbled and honored in my life. There have only been 72 other young women that have held this position in the history of our organization, and the fact that I have been given the opportunity to join this lineage of women to help shape the Jewish future is the largest honor I have ever held.”
Following her graduation from RPCS in June, Rebecca will travel the world during her one-year term as president—a gap year before college that is fully sponsored by BBYO. She will spend several months connecting with BBYO chapters across the US before traveling abroad to Europe and South America. For Rebecca, visiting Jewish communities around the world is what excites her most about her new role: “I am most looking forward to seeing all of the different Jewish communities that will come with all of the travel next year. I am excited to go to places like the United Kingdom and France, but especially looking forward to traveling to places like Ukraine and Bulgaria where Jews once could not practice openly but are now thriving.” Click to read entire article and to see the to see the 93rd Grand Board Of The Aleph Zadik Aleph And The 73rd International Board Of The B’nai B’rith Girls.
