Detailed Timeline of Activities:

 

7:00-8:00:

Business meeting

 

8:00-8:05

• Ice Breaker: A smaller circle in a larger circle and they go around in opposite directions until i say a pose (propose, piggy back, pyramid) Each person has to grab anyone they see in the circle (doesn’t matter who) and they have to complete the pose 5 mins

8:05-8:10 

• Make pairs before hand so people get to know newer people in the chapter and we all can bond

8:10-8:25

• CHALLENGE 1: Drawing: Draw a simple picture while your partner is blindfolded so the other partner has to tell them what/where to draw on the paper (twice so each partner can go) 15 mins

8:25-8:30

• FIND A NEW PARTNER IN 5 SECS 

• CHALLENGE 2: Paper Airplane Competition: each partner can only use one hand and together have to craft the perfect paper airplane 5 mins

8:30-8:35

• FIND A NEW PARTNER IN 5 SECS 

• CHALLENGE 3: Tie the knot?: Tying a shoe with one hand from you and one from your partner 5 mins

8:35-8:55

• FIND A NEW PARTNER IN 5 SECS 

• CHALLENGE 4: Antiques of the Future - Have a pile of materials (rubber bands, coffee filters, pipe cleaners, cardboard tubes, random stuff) and give pairs four minutes to choose one and make up a story about the item if it were found as an “antique” 500 years in the future. The group presents a skit that explains what it is, what it did and why it is extremely valuable. Creativity counts! 20 mins

 

EXTRA TIME: 

• FIND A NEW PARTNER IN 5 SECS 

• CHALLENGE 5 (if we have more time): Winner/Loser: Partner A shares something negative that happened in their life with Partner B. It can be a personal or work-related memory, but it has to be true. Then Partner A discusses the same experience again, but focuses only on the positive aspects. Partner B helps explore the silver lining of the bad experience. Afterward, they switch roles 10mins
