August Execs is an annual gathering of AZA & BBG Community Presidents (Teen Delegates) and professional staff (Staff Delegates) from across the global BBYO community. During the conference, we’ll train as a united Movement on skills, strategies, and tactics for the year ahead. As core leaders, we have the privilege to focus on furthering the impact of chapter and community programming, expanding AZA & BBG's reach through membership and involvement, and taking our movement to the next level. As we begin a program year unlike any in our history, we’ll prepare to reach more Jewish teens through more meaningful Jewish experiences both in-person (where and when it’s safe) as well as online as we work together to elevate our BBYO On Demand platform.

How will we gather?
We’ll be gathering via BBYO On Demand, largely on Zoom, and mixing things up with incredibly personal, engaging, and fun programs and special experiences that you’ll be able to model in your communities in the months that follow. 

When will we gather?
We’ll gather from Thursday, August 13 - Sunday, August 16, 2020. Of course, we won’t be on 24/7, so the list of dates and times below are a start to block off on your calendars. The times listed below are for core training and community building that we already know about. We’ll have lots of options for team building, office hours where you can get specific community mentorship, onegs to celebrate Shabbat together, mixers, random energy bursts, and space to hang as an Executive Body outside of our training—we’ll start to roll those specifics out as we get closer! While we’d love for you to be at everything, definitely mark your calendars for core training and be at as much of the community building as you can.

Be sure to plan to take off work, get school excused, or do whatever you need to be fully available for the days (as if we were in person). We’ll link a school excusal note on the website soon. 

New this year, we’re excited to invite you, your board, and your chapter boards to global position skills training days on Sunday, August 16th led by the International Boards. Officers from Europe, Africa, FSU, Australia, and China will meet from 8:00 AM ET - 10:00 AM ET and officers from the Americas will meet from 3:00 PM ET - 5:00 PM ET. And, in case that wasn’t exciting enough, the entire BBYO Movement is invited to our Global Leadership Installations Ceremony and the AZA & BBG Inaugural Address from 1:15 PM - 2:30 PM ET on Sunday, August 16th! 

How much does it cost?
$50 USD. As you know, we want to make sure that cost is never a concern. If you feel you won’t be able to cover the full cost, please let us know in your registration and be in touch with your local staff or the team at [email protected]. We’ll make sure you’re with us.

What do I need to bring? 
Make sure you have your computer, a charger, and a steady WiFi connection to last you the weekend, some note-taking utensils, snacks and drinks, and most importantly, yourself. We'll be in touch with a packing list when we get closer. Let's get ready to work!

What do I do after I fill out this form? 
Great question! Check your email often for more updates and information and you have two important things to complete in partnership with the other Teen and Staff Delegates from your community. Make sure that you plan your goals for the year as well as develop a 2020-2021 calendar for your community so that we can review, build off of, and make plans to accomplish them together. Think big and have fun!
