BBYO Went HUGE this Spring!

More than 80,000 Jewish teens around the world are having the time of their lives with BBYO! Here in Toronto, May was a very exciting month for us:

  • Over 80 teens from all seven of our local chapters - Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA) for young men and B'nai B'rith Girls (BBG) for young women - joined together for an amazing program run by UJA's ShinShinim Sarah & Lee. Chapters battled each other in a variety of competitions, ranging from cheering to trivia to building sculptures of different Israeli cities and more!
  • Over a hundred middle-schoolers from across Toronto and York Region attended our Annual Niagara Falls Day Trip (click for photos)! Everyone enjoyed a spectacular day that included visits to the Fallsview Indoor Water Park, Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour, Guinness Book of World Records Museum, Great Canadian Midway and so much more!
  • More than 120 Jewish teens from across Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal attended Spring Convention (click to read more) at URJ Camp George to wish farewell to the graduating seniors and elect next year's regional board, compete against other chapters in showcasing community ruach (spirit), and experience a meaningful and impactful summer camp-style Shabbat.
  • BBYO hosted a spirited delegation this year at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto's Walk With Israel (click for group photo) and we even managed to get a picture with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynn (click for photo)!
