Send a Mazel Gram to Our Seniors

BBYO is proud to have played a part in our seniors’ lives. Wisconsin Region has prospered because of their leadership, dedication and commitment. As their time in high school ends, we want them to know that BBYO will always be their home. Let our seniors know how much you appreciate them and cheer on their graduation by sending them a Mazel Gram.

Can’t pick just one senior? Then honor the entire Wisconsin Region Class of 2013!

By honoring our seniors today, you are ensuring that future generations of Jewish teens in our community will have access to the same meaningful BBYO experiences as our seniors have had over the past four and a half years.

Send a Mazel Gram by downloading this form and sending it in. All forms must be received by May 31st.

Get a Taste of College this Summer

This summer, experience college life at any of BBYO's three Summer of IMPACT programs while making a difference in the community. There is still limited space available for IMPACT: Boston at Brandeis University, IMPACT: Chicago at the University of Chicago and IMPACT: DC and the University of Maryland.

Want to be a part of Summer of IMPACT, but only have a few days available? Join friends for three days at IMPACT: Milwaukee. No prior Summer Experience registration is necessary! This is a great opportunity to fit a BBYO Summer Experience, and some great community service, into a busy summer!

All Jewish teens currently in 9th-12th grade are welcome to register.

March of the Living Recap

One of Wisconsin Region's teens recently returned from BBYO’s national delegation of the March of the Living. A two-week international experience, they first joined teens from around the world to bear witness to the destruction of the Holocaust in Poland and then traveled to Israel to rejoice in the Jewish homeland. They commemorated Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Memorial Day, marching from Auschwitz to Birkenau, and then celebrated Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israeli Independence Day, in the streets of Jerusalem.

"March of the Living was truly the best experience of my life. Before the trip, I only knew what I had learned in school and read in books regarding the Holocaust. There are no words to describe the feelings of not only walking into a concentration camp, but also being able to walk out," said Lauren Plavnick. "Spending a week in Poland opened my eyes to what happened and I experienced emotions that I didn’t even know existed. Similarly, being in Israel for a week really connected me to my Judaism. Experiencing both Memorial Day and Independence Day in Israel is something I will always remember. Never have I felt before the pride and love I do for Israel and for my Judaism - I completely attribute that to the March of the Living."

Other highlights of the trip included an opening ceremony at the Treblinka Memorial in Poland, a walking tour of the Warsaw Ghetto, a Motzei Shabbat event at Warsaw University with Canada’s National Delegation, a visit to The Western Wall in Jerusalem and a memorial service for Yom HaZikaron, Israeli Memorial Day, with BBYO’s sister youth movement in Israel, Maccabi Tzair.
