Hello and welcome to the October edition of our monthly eNews. It has been a busy month for BBYO across the city:
- A hundred teens celebrated the new program year with a Monster Mash Fall Kickoff dance party. Click here for photos from the event.
- The inaugural 6-week session of our new B-Fit Health & Fitness program is well-underway. Twenty-four girls are enjoying a combination of physical activity and health & wellness sessions each week. BBYO Lake Ontario Region is Growing!
It is an exciting time to be a Lake Ontario Region member! Our year is off to a great start and membership has increased by 47% year-to-date! There are many ways to be involved with Lake Ontario Region and BBYO this fall.

BBYO Connect News (Grades 6-8)
We are excited to announce our next great BBYO Connect event: All students in grades 6 to 8 are invited to join us for Snakes & Shakes taking place Sunday November 11th from 1pm to 4pm at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre (9600 Bathurst Street, Vaughan) in Room 2123.
Join us for a unique opportunity to touch and interact with incredible creatures including snakes, lizards, crocodilians and turtles, followed by a delicious milkshake bar! The cost to participate is $10 and includes snacks and refreshments.

Register Now for AZA/BBG Shabbat on Nov. 9
On the weekend of November 9, over 3,000 teens from around the world will participate in AZA/BBG Global Shabbat. This is our opportunity to celebrate Judaism’s most holy of days as a worldwide movement. Over 1,000 teens voted for this years AZA and BBG Global Shabbat themes: AZA: Hinei Ma Tov Umanaim Shevet Achim Gam Yachad, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together and BBG: L’Mangeenat Ha’achayot, To the Tune of Sisterhood.
AZA/BBG Shabbat in Toronto will take place on Nov. 9 from 6pm to 9pm at the Prosserman JCC. The cost is $18 and includes dinner and programming. To register, click here.
AZA BBG International Convention 2013 Waitlist Information
Alephs and BBGs Worldwide -
We are very excited that 33 Toronto-area teens will be attending IC! As you know by now, IC registration opened to a record response. In less than 20 hours IC registration opened a waitlist in an effort to accomodate every teen that is interested in attending.
This wait-list is not a barrier for attending. Please continue to add yourselves to the wait-list or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
We are determined to admit as many members into IC 2013 as we can!
