One for All: A Jewish Teen Issue Summit on Equality
On November 13 - 15, 2011, teens from across the United States are invited to Boston, Massachusetts, to take part in an extraordinary experience – One for All: A Jewish Teen Issue Summit on Equality. Participants will spend three days tackling issues surrounding equality: race, religion, ability, class, and gender and sexuality.
Participants will hear from activists, meet with speakers, and most importantly, walk away from this Jewish Teen Issue Summit with increased knowledge about civil rights and equality, enhanced skills as a community leader, and a greater understanding of their own civic responsibility.
The summit is sponsored by the BBYO Panim Institute. Membership in AZA and BBG is not required so feel free to spread the word to all of your friends and classmates about this wonderful opportunity!

AZA and BBG International Updates and Action Alerts
With the start of the new school year, the AZA and BBG Teen Movement has already been off to an exciting start! Don't miss out on these important updates:
Shabbat 2011: Online Voting Open Now!
AZA and BBG Shabbat are international traditions that will be united on the same date for the first time this November 11th and 12th. The International Board surveyed the International Executives Body and has posted themes for all of you to vote on to enhance this very special Shabbat on the AZA and BBG calendar. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to influence the theme by voting now. You can also sign up to be involved in the global planning committee that will provide resources and tools to members worldwide for AZA/BBG Shabbat 2011.
Action Alert: Help Free Alan Gross
As the AZA and BBG movement grows stronger, there are moments when we can leverage our collective power to make a difference in the world. At the 2010 AZA and BBG August Executives Conference, a motion was passed by the BBYO International Executives Body to encourage the U.S. government, at all levels, to intensify diplomatic efforts to secure the quick release of Alan Gross of Maryland from Cuba. A year later, the Jewish Community is once again rallying together to free Gross. Gross is a former NRE BBYO staff member and an alumnus of the Aleph Zadik Aleph. Click here to read more and sign the petition sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council.
