Director's Note

Hello, BBYO Wisconsin Region and Happy New Year! I hope you're settling into September and looking forward to the awesome programming coming your way - I know I am! I can feel the awesome momentum as we kick off the year.

A big shout out to all 140 teens that attended this year's Kick Off Dance (held September 7). This was the biggest kickoff in many years. Check out our pictures from the photo booth we had at the dance.

Also, thank you to everyone that attended the Kick Off Cookout on September 8. It was great to see so many families (teens and parents) mingling, eating and having fun. We filled two GIANT boxes full of school supplies that are being donated to MPS. Well done!

With the High Holidays upon us, make sure to stay up to date with our latest holiday resources.

See you soon!

Advisor Spotlight

This month, we'd like to spotlight David Cohn for his unwavering dedication to BBYO Wisconsin Region.

David Cohn - Solomon AZA

David has been an advisor since 2009.
From Glendale, he attended Nicolet High School and was active in BBYO as a member of Nivayim AZA.
He graduated from UW-Madison and recently earned a master of sports administration from Ohio University.

In his non-BBYO life, he is the director of member services for the Wisconsin State Golf Association.

In addition to his role with Solomon, David has staffed two trips with Wisconsin Region to Panim el Panim, a BBYO program in Washington, D.C.

When asked, David says " I enjoy being involved with BBYO because of the leadership opportunities it offers to the teens. It is amazing to see the teens begin as inexperienced 8th graders and graduate as true leaders. It has been fun to stay in touch with the teens that have graduated from BBYO and follow their success as they move on to college."

David's boys adore him, as do we.

"David simply put is one of the greatest assets that our chapter has. He is knowledgeable, always ready to help and has a genuine love for the chapter and its members. Without him, the chapter would not be even close to what it is today. Thanks for everything that you do Dcohn!" - Matt Levy

"David Cohn is an awesome advisor. It amazes me that he has been our advisor for so many years, and it shows his dedication and hard work to Solomon. We love you Dcohn!" - Jesse Honigberg

"David's always there for everyone when we need him. He's always fun to talk to and really cares about all of us in this chapter" - Rafi Barash

"We love David because of how helpful and devoted he is. He is always at our meetings and programs whenever he can be, and is willing to do more than is necessary to make Solomon as good as it is. The chapter would not be where it is without him." - Daniel Glazer

Thank you David!
