Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Kallah goes beyond the traditional classroom and is where teens in 10th-12th grade create their own Jewish experience in the way that works for them. They find their “Jewish selves” through interactive sessions and one-on-one conversations about a spectrum of topics, making Jewish learning individualized and so much fun! Want to learn more? Facilitated by Jewish educators of different backgrounds – from rabbis of all denominations to meditation specialists to BBYO staff and expert guest speakers – teens have access to a variety of resources and many new activities. One day could feature Israeli dancing taught by counselors from Israel, the next could be a field trip to a Jewish camp nearby to learn from even more people and see even more perspectives and the next could be a day of inspiring discussions with friends and mentors. There’s something new every day!
With time to spend outside reflecting and bonding with new friends, Kallah is the perfect place to build strong relationships and create a diverse and cultured community. Teens also connect with AZA and BBG’s Jewish roots through all kinds of electives: art, music, cooking, photography, social media and sports, just to name a few!
