Dedicated youth leader Jacob Klaven selected Memphis BBYO director

Dedicated youth leader Jacob Klaven selected Memphis BBYO director BBYO Cotton States Region welcomed on January 4 its newest member of the team- Jacob Klaven.

As the new Memphis BBYO director, Mr. Klaven will oversee and lead the Memphis BBYO chapters, working with local advisors and the teen leaders to continue to grow and strengthen the Memphis BBYO program and its members.

Prior to joining BBYO, he worked with Taglit Birthright, NFTY, the URJ, MJCC Summer Camp and most recently he was head of advertising for a Media company in Israel where he has lived for the past five years after making Aliyah.

Mr. Klaven comes to Memphis now with years of experience working with Jewish teens from all over the USA and Israel. He has a great understanding of the Memphis community as well as direct connections to Israel.

"I couldn't imagine a better city to work in and I am so excited to be able to have a direct impact on the Jewish leaders of tomorrow," said Mr. Klaven. "I see a lot of potential in our teens and believe that BBYO is where they will learn to grow both in their Judaism as well as a young adult."

"We are really excited to have Jacob in Memphis," said Kevin Falik, BBYO Senior Regional Director of Cotton States Region. "Jacob is familiar with the community and has a real grasp on Jewish teens and how to make them the leaders of tomorrow."

Memphis families can get to know him at several upcoming events for Jewish teens in the area- Amazing Rai$e, February 7, at the Memphis Jewish Community Center and local chapter events or they can stop by his office across from the fitness desk at the MJCC. BBYO is open to all Jewish teens in grades 9 -12 in the Memphis area.
