Worldwide—BBYO, the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, is excited to launch its digital alumni platform and new mentorship program as part of the BBYO Alumni Association formed in February 2024 in conjunction with BBYO’s Centennial celebrations. This highly anticipated initiative marks a pivotal moment for the organization, empowering its extensive 400,000-member alumni network to engage and connect in new ways.
This new centralized, interactive alumni hub provides a powerful space for alumni to rekindle connections, broaden their networks, and access exclusive opportunities to continue their BBYO journey. By creating this network-building digital hub, BBYO alumni will directly impact current and future generations, enriching the teen experience and further fostering leadership across industries and communities. Designed to support both professional and personal growth, the platform features several key tools to maximize engagement:
- Events Hub: Alumni will stay informed and involved with a dedicated space showcasing upcoming alumni events across regions, industries, and interest groups.
- Alumni and Industry Groups: Alumni will join groups based on professional industries or personal interests, offering endless opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and networking.
- Alumni Directory: The expansive BBYO alumni network allows alumni to reconnect with old friends, find new contacts in specific fields, and expand their professional and personal circles.
“This platform is more than just a network; it’s a vibrant continuation of our BBYO journey,” said Nick Ginsberg, BBYO alumnus and mentor in the new program. “Through this space, we’ll propel each other’s careers, celebrate our achievements, and give back to the organization that has profoundly shaped who we are today.”
A standout feature of the new digital platform is the Alumni Mentorship Program, an exclusive one-on-one initiative designed to empower young professionals. This unique program pairs emerging alumni with accomplished leaders in their field, providing tailored mentorship designed to accelerate their career and foster leadership development. Participants will benefit from insider insights, career-shaping advice, and personalized coaching from some of the most trailblazing leaders in their fields.
Mentorship matches in the program include industry heavyweights such as Gabbi Baker, Global Brand Director, Hinge; Daniel Elbaum, CEO of North America, The Jewish Agency for Israel; Lisa Besserman, Head of Innovation, JP Morgan Chase; and Alexandra Rubinov, Senior Program Manager, Google—names that underscore the unparalleled access available through BBYO’s wide-ranging alumni network.
The Alumni Association platform embodies BBYO’s commitment to supporting and empowering Jewish alumni well beyond their teen years, creating lasting connections and nurturing leadership for future generations. As BBYO celebrates 100 years of empowering Jewish youth, this initiative will strengthen alumni bonds and ensure their ongoing contributions to Jewish life.
