We are ecstatic to be working with Environmental Volunteers for Central Region West's 68th regional J-Serve. Environmental Volunteers focuses on the removal of invasive species and we are so excited to be helping them on Sunday, March 29th. Join us for a day of hands on community service at the EcoCenter located in Palo Alto, followed by an outdoor hang-out with food and fun games with regional friends. We are so excited to see all of you at J-Serve 2020!

Q. What is J-Serve?

A. Since 2005, J-Serve has provided teens with a unique opportunity to band together through service as a united global network committed to fulfilling the Jewish values of gemilut chasidim, acts of loving kindness, tzedakah, just and charitable giving, and tikkun olam, the responsibility to repair the world. Every year, Jewish teens worldwide join each other on this special day and throughout the spring to make their community and the world a better place

Q. What should I wear/bring?

  • Full length, long pants (Jeans, Leggings, Khakis, Athletic Pants) NOT CROPPED
  • Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty 
  • Long socks
  • Sunscreen
  • Reusable water bottle
  • a positive atitude 

Q. Who can attend J-Serve?

Everyone is welcome at J-Serve, both prospects and official BBYO members are encouraged to come. 

Q. Will there be adult supervision?

Yes, there will be adult supervision at J-Serve. We will be joined by our regional staff, chapter advisors and enviormental volunteer staff. 

Q. What safety precautions will be taken?

There will be a first aid kit on site in case of emergencies and plenty of hand sanitizer. 

Q. What about COVID-19?

Based on all the information we have now about the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are currently planning on continuing this event due to it having a maximum registration of 50 participants. BBYO will follow guidelines presented by the CDC, WHO, as well as Local, State and Federal Government. Events will be taking place unless directives are given by such organizations. Should we choose to cancel this event, we will let you all know as early as possible. If you are feeling ill we ask that you please do not attend this program and rest.
