Event Details

Over 40 Nashville Jewish teens gathered together for an afternoon of giving back and creating discussion around tzedakah and charity. All while making new friends, affiliated and non, from around the Nashville Jewish community.
PROJECT IMPACT: 
(1) Safe Haven Homeless Shelter: collected over 300 lbs of clothing for ThriftSmart, who then donated $300 worth of shopping credit to the residents who live at Safe Haven, our project beneficiary. Prepped meals for ONE ENTIRE WEEK for Safe Haven to serve to their residents. Made over 50 hygiene kits.
(2) JFS: Wrote over 50 notes to go in the JFS Kosher Food Boxes that are distributed to families in our community who are experiencing chronic economic stress.
(3) Cumberland River Compact: We adopted a stream in promises to steward 2 cleanups per year. Our first clean-up (on the day of J-Serve) we collected over 5 bags of trash from out of our stream.
