What is J-Serve
J-Serve is the international day of community service for BBYO. Please join us on Sunday, April 16 at the EJC as we will be making blankets and care packages to donate to Blanchet House.
What is Blanchet House?
Blanchet (pronounced Blan-shāy) House is a nonprofit social services organization located in Old Town Portland. We make a difference, one relationship at a time, through food, clothing, and supportive housing programs. We serve anyone who comes to our doors without judgment because we believe everyone deserves dignity, hope, and community.
Donation Items
Blanchet House has a list of items found below for what to bring. This is a great way to leave an impact on the community as we kindly ask for people to bring any of these items to this event.
Hygiene Care Kit
- Bar of soap
- Band-aids
- Neosporin or antibiotic ointment
- Wet wipes or bath wipes
- Cotton swabs
- Lotion
- Lip balm
- Nail clippers
- Pair of socks or t-shirt (adult-sized)
- Rain poncho
- Wrapped snacks
