Q&A

How much does this weekend cost?

This weekend costs $5, which can be paid through cash (collected at in person meetings or dropped off at designated houses) or venmo, quickpay, and other online payment services.

What does the money go to?

In order to make this feel as normal as possible given the Covid - 19 pandemic, we will be delivering a "Boot Camp Box" to every registrant's house including supplies, snacks, and a BBYO guide. All boxes will be delivered in a covid-friendly manner.

How much time will be spent on zoom?

Registrants will only be spending 2-3 hours on zoom with a 20 minute break in the middle of each day. On Friday, the boot camp will run from 7-10 pm with a break from 8:15 - 8:40 pm. On Saturday, it will run from 7:30 - 10:15 pm with a break from 8:15 - 8:30 pm. Registrants are not required to attend the entire weekend, but it will be highly encouraged.

What activities will registrants be participating in?
To start of the weekend, there will be a Shabbat service with the entire chapter. Then, registrants will experience various educational programs on important information about our chapter, and BBYO in general. Friday will be capped off from a panel of Aviva Alumni and current Seniors to hear about the impact that BBYO has had on other aspects of their lives. On Saturday, the night will kick off with a chapter Havdalah ceremony. Then, registrants will learn songs that we traditionally sing after every Havdalah. Afterwards, there will be mini - programs run by the current Executive Board that educates registrants on what each board position does on a week to week basis. Finally, the weekend will end by competing in various games to reinforce what has been taught throughout the weekend.
