Event Details

LIFE Convention will take place on Friday, May 21st - Sunday, May 23rd. We hope that you will join us for this exciting HYBRID convention experience as we celebrate all we have accomplished this year!

The weekend will be chock full of fun chapter showcase programs, exciting in-person activities, inspirational senior speeches and amazing memories with your friends. Convention will also include the election of your 23rd Council boards. Convention cost is $50. Scholarship is available. (Apply here: https://bbyo.org/scholarship-form )

Below you will find an outline of the weekend's schedule (exact timing subject to change).

***Register by Thursday, May 13th at 11:59 pm in order to guarantee a spot at any in-person events or to be considered as a voting delegate spot at Council elections.***

3:00pm - 5:00pm - IN PERSON Event (one location together in Nomahegan Park in Cranford, NJ

GJHRR Awards

This year, we will once again be honoring individual Aleph's and BBG's, chapters, and advisors with awards that will be presented during Gold Life on May 22nd. Teens are encouraged to submit nominations by May 9th.

Council Elections

Council Elections will take place virtually the morning of May 23rd. Voting delegates will be notified and confirmed the week prior to LIFE and should mark their calendars for May 19th at 6pm for a delegate meeting to prepare for virtual elections. All teens are invited to submit questions for candidates during the Meet the Candidates portion of elections.

Travel Info

Busing will not be provided to or from any of the in-person events.

Teens will be responsible for their own transportation to and from our in-person experiences of convention.

Q&A

Teens must be registered members of BBYO to attend this event.

Scholarships for this event are available and can be applied for through May 13th, 2021.

In-Person Event Details:

  • In-person events for the weekend will occur in multiple locations throughout the region to accommodate travel time as well as participation limits (50 teens) per BBYO and GJHRR's guidelines.
  • All participants at in-person events must have both of their COVID-19 waivers signed (teen and parent) and should review and agree to the conditions outlined in the Pre-Program Expectation Guide. If you already signed your waivers earlier in the year, you do not need to sign them again.
  • Masks must be worn at all times and teens should maintain social distancing.
