Q&A

Is ILTC for you?
ILTC is a great program for Alephs and BBGs currently in 10th or 11th grade who are current or aspiring regional leaders, have attended regional leadership conventions or CLTC (though not required), or have an interest in leading, within or outside of BBYO!

How many teens attend ILTC?
ILTC welcomes around 250 Alephs and B’nai B’rith Girls each summer. Participants come from every region and countries from across the Order.

Who staffs ILTC?
BBYO programming professionals and advisors serve as the site director, program director, leadership director, and leadership staff at ILTC. We’re also joined by Jewish educators, song leaders, Israeli counselors (sh'lichim), expert specialists, college-age counselors (madrichim), and an office manager.

What is the ILTC curriculum about?
ILTC's primary focus is on leadership at the council, regional, and International level. Teens focus on developing a wide range of leadership skills including effective team collaboration, communication strategies, and relationship building, as well as learning how to shape a worldwide movement. Leadership skills are taught in a classroom environment and through hands-on, interactive activities in BluePrint groups. Jewish learning happens daily during Limmud sessions and, especially, at teen-led Shabbat, morning (Shacharit), and evening (Mincha) services.
