Event Details
KIO Region’s AIT/MIT Convention is our annual new member weekend and is an amazing kickoff to your BBYO Career! Registration is open to any KIO Member who wants to be a part of this amazing weekend and has not yet attended a KIO AIT/MIT Convention. Come join BBYO members from all over Kentucky, Indiana & Ohio, like yourself, for a weekend full of fun, energy, and spirit while learning about the history of our organization and region. BBYO is a unique experience and creates a welcoming and safe environment for all teens to connect and make lifelong friends, explore their Jewish identity as part of a pluralistic Jewish community, become stewards of the rich history and traditions of our organization, and have fun, learn and grow while immersed in BBYO’s teen-led leadership model. In addition to coming together as a community for Shabbat, teens will enjoy social, educational, leadership, recreational and community service programs. Most importantly, you will be officially inducted into BBYO as a member in a memorable induction ceremony. A packing list will be sent out prior to the convention. BBYO will be a relationship that begins now and lasts a lifetime! The convention price includes transportation (details will be provided by your local BBYO staff), meals, housing and programming costs. Scholarship is available and is based on financial need. Scholarship applications are available over a secure site, https://bbyo.org/regionalscholarship/, and are due by 11:59pm on Sunday, April 16th. NO late applications will be accepted. MEDICAL FORMS (REQUIRED): BBYO has partnered with CampDoc, the leading electronic health record system for camps. If your teen is new to BBYO or has not attended a convention since the launching of our CampDoc partnership, within days of registering for convention, you will receive an invitation from CampDoc to complete your teen’s profile. Information will need to be updated once per year in CampDoc regardless of how many programs your teen attends, including summer programming. If there are medical updates throughout the year, you can log into the system and update your teen’s medical profile. All teens are required to have a completed CampDoc medical profile before attending convention. For those who already have a completed CampDoc profile please remember to update your medical profile with important changes; including prescriptions, new injuries & restrictions or the lifting of old restrictions, and anything else we need to know to care for your teen during convention. All maintenance in CampDoc must be completed by Sunday, April 23rd. Cancellation Policy: The deadline to cancel with a full program refund is the final registration deadline for this program, Thursday, April 20th. Until that date, full refunds will be granted for cancellations in writing (e-mail is acceptable), for any reason. After the registration deadline, we have already confirmed final counts with our vendors and must pay regardless if the teen is present, so no refunds will be given. We love our newest members and can't wait to welcome you to our family!
