It's time to bring BBYO Manhattan's 2nd Regional Board together to plan, train, and start building our team for the year to come! 

Schedule at a glance:

Monday, August 27th
(snacks, lunch, and dinner provided 8/27)
9:30am - Meet at AppNexus office for day of training, teambuilding, and planning
4:00pmish - Leave AppNexus for Teambuilding Activity: Escape the Room (https://missionescapegames.com/nyc/)
6:00pmish - Group dinner at Little Sheep Hot Pot (https://www.littlesheephotpot.com/)

**Optional sleepover at a board member's apartment on Monday night. At least one adult must be present. Email Jon at [email protected] if you plan to host**

8:30am - Meet at App Nexus for day 2 of training, teambuilding, and planning
12:30pmish - End of retreat
4:15pm - Meeting at 92Y (need 3 board members to attend)

Q&A

Q: Is this retreat required for members of the regional board?

A: Yes, attendance at this event is required for all members of BBYO Manhattan's 2nd Regional Board.

 

Q: Why is this being held at the AppNexus office?

A: One of our amazing volunteer advisors, Lori, works there and has helped us secure the space. It is a super cool tech office which we thought would be a nice change of scenery for the board. Thanks, Lori!

 

Q: Which meals will you provide the teens?

A: We will provide lunch and dinner on Monday and breakfast on Tuesday. There will be snacks available throughout both days.

 

Q: Is the cost of the meals included in my registration fee.

A: Yes.

 

Q: What is the teambuilding activity on Monday afternoon?

A: It's a surprise!

 

Q: Okay. Is the cost of the teambuilding activity included in my registration fee?

A: Yes. It sure is!

 

Q: Is there an overnight component on Monday night?

A: At the moment, no. BBYO will not organize a board sleepover on Monday night. Nevertheless, board members are welcome to organize a sleepover (or separate AZA and BBG sleepovers) independently on Monday night. If this is the case, we ask for the adult(s) who'll be hosting to email Jon at [email protected] to confirm where the sleepover(s) will take place and to identify the adult(s) who'll be present.

 

Q: Is scholarship available for the board retreat?

A: Unfortunately no, there is no scholarship avaialble for the board retreat. We've worked to keep the price for this affordable without compromising the quality of the experience for the team.
