BBYO CONVENTION GUIDELINES

  • A structured program is planned for the duration of the convention.  Free time is provided when scheduled programs are completed.

  • Prayers are said before and after every meal.

  • Arrival and departure times need to be respected. Leaving the program at any time is not permitted.

  • There is zero tolerance for possession or use of drugs, alcohol or tobacco products. The use of JUULS or any other form of vapes, electronic cigarettes, or similar devices are not allowed at any BBYO event. Use of these products will result in immediate removal from the event.

  • Teens are expected to dress appropriately throughout the duration of convention.  If staff feels you are dressed inappropriately, you will be asked to change immediately.

  • Convention participants are required to wear convention name tags throughout the duration of convention.

  • Curfew times are set each night with teens in their assigned rooms. No switching rooms.  No leaving rooms after curfew.  Teens are only permitted in the specific areas in which they are allowed to be at the specific times given.

  • Cell phones are not to be used during convention programs.  Misuse will result in removal of phones until the end of convention. Emergency calls will go through the office.

  • If an AZA enters into a BBG dorm room, the BBG must not allow them to enter; should ask them to leave immediately; or get an adult staff person immediately.  Failure to act on this will result in the AZA(s)’ and BBG(s)’ suspension from convention.  The same applies to a BBG who enters an AZA’s room. There is no intimacy behind close doors.
