Event Details

Purim is on February 26th and it is customary to give Shalach Manot to your friends and family as an act of kindness. The mitzvah of giving Shalach Manot derives from the Book of Esther.  It is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the Purim feast held later in the day, and to increase love and friendship among Jews and their neighbors.  We want to give you one and ask that you pay it forward.  We will be giving one to you and will also provide one that you should give to a friend or family member.  Kindness has been shown to improve self-esteem, empathy, compassion and can improve mood.

Please come to the JCC on Friday, February 26, 2021 between 3:00pm-5:00pm to pick up your Shalach Manot.  We hope to see you there!
