About Us
About Kansas City Council
BBYO Kansas City Council is comprised of chapters in the Greater Kansas City area. We are a part of Mid-America Region, which includes Omaha, St. Louis and Minnesota. We have 4 chapters in the Greater Kansas city area, engaging over 190 Jewish teens in our area. By becoming a member of Kansas City Council, teens are afforded the opportunity to experience local programming in their communities, regional programming such as dances, community service days, sports events, and weekend-long conventions, and international programming at large scale conferences and BBYO Summer Experiences.
Our chapters hold events every two weeks at locations around the city. Events are planned by teens for teens and programming ranges from fun activities like DIY nights for the BBGs, Madden tournaments for the Alephs to more serious programming around self identity or leadership development. A parent, advisor, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.
Through youth-led and staff-supported programs, BBYO Kansas City Council gives our members opportunities to develop leadership skills and positively affect their communities, the world, and themselves. We constantly strive to provide more Jewish teens with more meaningful Jewish experiences each and every day, so that they may become the future Jewish leaders in their communities and in the Jewish world at large.
Fun Fact: Two's AZA is the second ever AZA chapter in the order. We also have two other older chapters; Nordaunian is #22 and Saadia is #40, so much BBYO history in Kansas City!
