Q&A

Why is it on a Sunday night this year? Monday October 9 is Indigenous Peoples' Day which is a no school day so we are able to host on a Sunday night which is similar to what most northeast BBYO regions are doing! Buses will depart after sundown on the 8th and after Simhat Torah.

Is there Food? Yes! We will be having vegetarian pizza/flatbread, soda, waters.  We will have gluten free and vegan options as well.  We always STRONGLY SUGGEST eating dinner before getting on the buses.  This is not meant to be dinner.

When do we get further information about the event? Information will be updated online continuously and included in NER's eNews.

By email, we will send out 2 emails closer to the event (one after Yom Kippur and one the week before after registration closes).  These emails will include information regarding transportation information, reminders, rules, emergency contact information and any information regarding in-person program policies.

Volunteer advisors and staff are in attendance and we are looking for additonal parent volunteers who can ride the bus and/or attend the event, contact Jeff Hast at [email protected] if you are interested.  If a parent/family volunteer, we will cover the costs of the event and partial payment of Regional Convention.

Bus transportation will be provided from throughout the region.  See registration questions for more details. Specific information will be sent in the upcoming weeks once registration begins regarding times and location of bus stops.  Teens are not allowed to drive themselves to the event.

Buses will arrive by 8pm and depart by 11pm, most buses make 1-2 stops and some return to their designated drop off spots around midnight or after.  Teens must stay for the entirety of the program.
