HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS:
BBYO highly recommends—but does not require—each participant be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including the most recent booster available. BBYO is following the guidance of many public health institutions, scientists, and medical professionals who have led the battle against the coronavirus and are recommending that people be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
In addition, for overnight programs of 50 participants or larger, as well as ALL overnight summer program experiences (regardless of group size), participants must arrive with a photo of a negative COVID-19 test taken the day of travel to their program or event with their name and the date written next to their test. At-home tests are acceptable.
As always, the health and safety of our participants remains our number one priority. Please take a moment to review our full Immunization Policy and reach out to Customer Service with any questions.
BBYO works with CampDoc, the leading electronic health record system. All participants and parents are required to complete a health file before attending a BBYO convention. Once you have registered for the convention, you will receive an email inviting you to join CampDoc. Accept the invitation and complete or update all forms. These forms provide dietary, medical, and other important information. Teens will not be allowed to attend without a complete profile.
COVID Protocol:
As you sign up for convention, we want to provide more clarity on how we are navigating COVID at this overnight event. Based on the CDC and BBYO guidelines, and our own experience and ability, we are moving forward with convention by doing the following:
- Hand washing and sanitizer will be abundantly available (and encouraged)
- Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision that all participants attending SRC must provide evidence of a negative rapid antigen Covid test. Teens’ negative COVID test proof will be checked by staff members upon arrival. Tests must be taken on the morning of departure.
- Please take a picture of yourself holding your test results. We must be able to see their face and their test results in the picture.
WHAT TO BRING: A detailed packing list will be sent out in the weeks leading up to convention.
TRANSPORTATION: Denver Families--transportation will no longer be provided for this event. Regional Colorado Communities: A carpool will be arranged for teens joining us from our communities across Colorado. Albuquerque--RMR is excited to host you and will provide transportation to and from the Denver Airport. Please note teens are never allowed to drive or take rideshares (Uber/Lyft) to BBYO conventions.
Sunday Logistics: 8th grade Denver parents can plan to pick up their teen by 10am on Sunday as 8th graders will not participate in the election of the 69th and 68th regional boards. All other teens will be picked up or depart around 5pm when elections end.
REFUNDS: The last day for a full refund is Friday, March 31st, 2023.
