Event Details

What is Kallah?

We are so excited to gather together for the first time in many months to celebrate our community and engage in a meaningful weekend together.

Kallah will offer a weekend in the Santa Cruz mountains with friends where you'll be able to explore and reflect on who you are and what matters to you. You'll hear from inspiring leaders, have powerful conversations with your friends, rep your chapter's spirit, sing, dance, play, and we'll celebrate Shabbat together. It's time to get back to our roots.

Who is invited?

Kallah is open to all BBYO members in 8th through 12th grade.

Registration Details:

As this is our first convention in person in nearly 2 years, we aimed to offer it at a lower price than usual to thank you for your commitment to BBYO and welcome you back!

  • Early bird registration: $285.00. Deadline: September 26 at 11:59 PM PT.

  • Regular registration: $335.00. Deadline: October 3 at 11:59 PM PT.

Financial aid is available. More details in our FAQ. Apply at this link before September 26.

Cost of convention covers lodging for two nights, five meals, snacks, and all conference materials (and travel, for those living in the East Bay, farther from our venue). This includes access to special guests, participation in high-value programming and the support of our professional staff team.

Capacity at our venue is limited -- don't wait to sign up!

Cost: $335.00

Location: Saratoga 95070

Q&A

Will there be bus transportation?

Yes. We will provide bus transportation for those joining us from the East Bay at no additional cost. For those coming from the Peninsula or South Bay, our leaders will support their chapters in arranging carpools. Please note that teens may not drive themselves to or from convention.

What are your COVID procedures? Tell me about your safety protocols.

All participants, staff, and guests at convention must provide proof of full vaccination in order to attend. You will complete this information along with your medical forms when you register for this event.

Masks will be required at all times (indoors & outdoors), except when sleeping or eating. We will favor outdoor activities when possible.

We are working with a vendor to provide testing in advance of our convention for all participants, guests, and staff. We will communicate with registered attendees about the specifics prior to the event.

We are keeping a close eye on ever-changing circumstances and may communicate updates to any of these policies or procedures prior to convention start.

The PSAT is that weekend. What should I do?

Primary test date for the PSAT is October 13, 2021. But, some schools are providing testing on Saturday, October 16. If you’re among those, you can reach out to your school counselor to request the option for an alternate test date (this year, it is October 26). This is our recommended course of action both so you can enjoy convention stress-free, and for COVID safety reasons.

If you are unable to reschedule from October 16, please contact our office and we can discuss options so that you can join us for part of the weekend. Please note that we cannot offer discounted pricing for partial attendance.

Do you provide scholarships? How does that work?

Scholarships are available and are need-based (based on income and specific circumstances). Applications are due by September 26 at 11:59PM PST. You will receive notification the following week about your status and we will, at that time, invite you to pay your balance in full. All scholarship applicants will also be granted the early bird price ($285) less their awarded scholarship amount.

Apply at this link.

What’s your cancellation policy?

The deadline to cancel with a full program refund is the final registration deadline for this program (October 3, 2021). Until that date, full refunds will be granted for cancellations in writing (e-mail is acceptable), for any reason. After the registration deadline, partial refunds may be available based on convention expenses already paid (lodging, transportation, etc.), but are not guaranteed. “No shows” will not receive a refund.

In the event of emergency circumstances, please contact our office.

Have other questions? We're happy to help -- please feel free to contact us: [email protected]. Note that key details like packing lists and other pre-convention information will be sent by e-mail closer to date to all participants.
